The Trustees present their annual report and financial statements of the charity for the year ended 31[st] March 2023 and confirm that they comply with the Charities Act 1993 and the Statement of Recommended Practice: Accounting and Reporting by Charities published 2005.
Aim and Purpose
Barnet Giving exists to support the people who live and work in the London borough of Barnet through the provision of grants.
Objectives and activities
Barnet Giving is committed to the promotion of any charitable purpose for the benefit of the public, and in particular, but not limited to, the people who live and work in the London Borough of Barnet and surrounding London Boroughs, including:

the development of the capacity and skills of members of socially and economically disadvantaged communities;

the prevention and relief of poverty;

the advancement of education;
-
the relief of financial need and suffering among victims of natural or other kinds of disaster;

the promotion of the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment

the promotion of equality and diversity and the fostering of greater understanding between people from diverse backgrounds; and
-
the promotion of social inclusion by preventing people from becoming socially excluded, relieving the needs of those who are social excluded and assisting them to integrate into society (and for the purpose of this clause 'socially excluded' means being excluded from society, or part of society, as a result of being a member of a socially and economically deprived community).
