Associate Minister's Report . Gratlrude Is the only proper way to begin my report olouryear together in 2023 and the growth Ihai we have experienced. Thank you all lor makin9 It a bliautiful year foi our family. /L/ | rn also thankful that the growth I've experienced personally ha5 been shared in our rninlstiies together. Last year I wroie royou about rhe root5 that had been planted In my rirst two years Wlth you thar allowed foi the expansion and quickened pace of our third year iogerher. Well, this fourth year of my mini5rry èi AIC has been about 51owing down and about returnlng to the deprh of those root5. Tl)e minisiries l oversee have not been about 5tartlng new things in 2023 or aboui picklng up ihe pace of aciivities and programmes, but about Strengthening relationships and refining Ihe work Ihat we have already begun together. Following our discussions ènd growth in regard to inclusion, sexuality, and Marriage, we have had many di5CU55ion5 that have led to sharing pefsonal sioiies, becoming more vulnerable abour our pain and our doubt5, and even learning to accept more disagreements and differences In our community. There are confidential stories I wish I could share, but you should know that people are shailng rnental hèalih struggles and accepring prayer and companionship al AIC., people are sharing stoiles of deep question5 and discomlon with ihe lalth thelve been iaught and are finding new ways to relate to God through AIC. From Bible study to ctsnversarions aftei Sunday morning w015hlp, l Lhlnk ihat we are a healrhler ctsmrnunity t￿cauSe we have learned ro have these conversarions and to share ourselves more openly. We have grown through beglnning a new lomi ol worship in Jazzvespers. We have a group of rerurnlng attendees ar rhat seNlce, but I hear each monrh from someone who came lor ihe first tlme and tells me aixJLJt how It wa5 a peaceful experience they needed In a iumuliuou5 lime ol life. M05r ol these people are honestly never goln9 iojoln rhe church or even come on a Sunday morning, but don't mis5 the fact that this is part of our worship and our ministry. We are findlng new ways ro invire people Into God's presence to taste the peace that passes all understanding, We are growlng because we are leaming to iell our storles and more boldly invlte people Sn. I'm par(icularly thlnklng aboui o¢Ji onllne presence. We have grown because ol people like our markeiing team who helped us rebrand, and like Kessley lanvief whose summer internship helped u5 creaie a social medla sriaiegy. We Siill have a loi of growing to do, bui we are leèrnin9 share who we are with Ihe world ènd we now have a iecognlsable presence thai reaches lar beyond the boundaries of our properly on Totrenham Court Road and communicates to people thai the Church of Jesus Christ is open 10 Ihem. Finally, we're growing togeiher because our relaiionships with the broader community are getting srronger. Part of my mirii51ry alongside you has been developing new pariner5hips. ¢Ycour5e a lot of thi5 great work is part ol Brooke's worl so I'm only telling part ol the story thai we're working on iogeiher. Some of you came with me to find out about London Pilsons Mission and how to 5UPPOrt incarcerated people. Some ol us have participaLed in renewe(J relation5hip5 Wlth the Communities and Third 5ecroi team in our local Council. Some of us have found meaningful mental health 5UPPOlt through Talk lor Health. And you're golng to be hearing a lor more 3bout an exciting and gr(Iwing partnership with CiiizensUK a5 we try rojoin our voice with others for the welfare ol our city. And olcourse, if any of those things spaikyour cuilosity, let'5 have a chat about how you cari be involved. I bplipve that pvpryrhing I'vp nijtlinpcj here, and all ihe storie.s of people serving and Sharing and growiry together, ale all evidence that we are following the Splrit of God and learning to embody the love and grace ol Jesu5 Christ in our coniexL I'm proud of whal we're doing rogether and I'm trulygrateful to embra￿ my calling here with you.
