To advance the education of the public on the subject of breast cancer and other cancer-related subjects such as but not limited to cancer prevention and cancer diagnoses. |

At our trustee meetings, we considered the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit in planning our activities for the year. The main activities are as follows: Running workshops and events Never alone Campaign School Workshops Community Workshops Production of Material Collaborating with Macmillan South Asian women cancer survivors, telling their stories. Storytelling is powerful in encouraging dialogue at a community level.We engaged in several talks to raise awareness with businesses and the community. Para 1.38 | We are grateful for the many hours volunteers have spent working with the South Asian Breast Cancer Patients. Without this valuable contribution of time, energy and expertise, we would not have been able to achieve so much Volunteers have all been checked on DBS and provide the following service • School Workshops • Awareness Events • Befriending Service • Fundraising • Meetings We have 15 registered volunteers who all have a DBS Barring certificate. Sakoon Through Cancer prides itself on the work the volunteers do. |

Para 1.20 | The main achievements this year have been: • Organising and training Volunteers • Running workshops • Never alone Campaign • School Workshops • Production of Material Roti Club is our Never Alone Network—a monthlyculturally appropriate network, a safe space to come together and hear from others who can help as we extend our kitchen table. Good to Talk Befriending Service - For people affected by breast cancer, run by trained volunteers offering culturally competent one-to-one support, non-medical. Volunteering opportunities for femaleswith lived experience of Breast Cancer or Carers Volunteeringopportunity and Sakoon Through Cancer Young Cadets age 16- 25 Years old. Education Programme– We have developed a successful Breast Cancer Awareness Education Programme, which has been delivered in local secondary schools as part of PSHE lessons and shared within the community through ESOL classes and workplaces. In alignment with our core value of dignity, we utilise knitted breast models ("knitted bobs") to demonstrate and practice self-examination in a respectful and inclusive manner. Fundraising Activities – Our efforts encompass a range of engaging events such astheSummer Ball 2025,Community Discos,Afternoon Tea with Dr. Nighat Arif, launch of her book The Knowledge,Chai and Chats, and ourInternational Women’s Day celebration.
