The object of the Charity The main activities for 2023 were to enable potential donors and sponsors to make tax efficient contributions for thè betterment of students attending the Paafl Boy5 High School irTr South Africa. In particular various PBHFILIKI Trustees worked tI￿leSS1Y with fellows within Paarl Boys High Foundation Trust to seojre Bursary Funding of us$60,(MX) from the AALL Foundation whith w35 paid directly into the PBH Foundation Trust account. While the FLtnds did not pass through the UK Foundatron account. we are proud that much of the C￿dit for seasring this fijnding is due to the ex￿lIent and diligent contributFon of its members. Main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects In 2023 the UK tharity only received regular contributions from 3 single donor. While this wa5 welcomed, it 15 dÈsappointing that more UK old boys have not S￿ne{l direct debits for the benefit of the Foundation. Additional matters on Activities MO￿ Wofkwill need be (lone in partnership with the UK OBU Tandern to spread ihe word of the work the Paarl Foundation are doing to stimulate more engagement and in turn 5UPPOrt. At the last meeting held. it was agreed by the Trustees that the current funds in excess of the minimum reserve wtthin the UK account. ￿ held back to fvnd a showcase event in the UK to stimulate additional support for the Foundation. If this has not been attioned in 2024 the ex￿$5 fvnds are to ￿ sent to the PBHF Trust for the benefft of the students

BesFde5 the important contribution of the UK Trustees to secure fvnding from an overseas foundat6on to the PBHF Trust directly in Paarl. PBHF IUKI raised an addtiional £448.65 in 2023 for the benefit of Paarl Boys High students. Summary of Main achievements of the chartty durirlg the year At the end of 2023 the balan￿ in the Charity account was £4.537.93. No payments were made to the South Africa Foundation from reserves in this reporting year. Policy on Reserves The Trustees have agreed thatthe trust should aim to have 3 reserve of £l,Cm in the Charity CAF bank account at the end of each year to ensure that the costs of running the charity a￿ covered.
