During th¢ week w¢ have over 100 people who reguIarly attend daily prdyers and over 1,400 who regularly attend Friday praye￿. Festivals During the month of Ratnad￿ the Mosque was fommatr to co￿lnue the long*stab]ished daily Iftar service. arran￿8 food for those wishing to bre& their fast together. Funding for the food is a mixt of donations from local comrnuDity mcmbers and Mosque funds. We celebrate both Eids (Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ut-Adha) with cOng[eg￿lon11 prdyers thot take place outdoors where possiTrJle thie to the ]arge lluM￿r of attendees, or at the Mosque pr¢mises when the weather is unsuitsble. At tbese festtva]s we ¢ndeavour to atrdng¢ gdivlties for Childre￿ such as fu)rfal￿, together with stalls serving a variety of foo Funeral Fa¢llhies Thc Mosque provides a complete fimeral scrsice io line with the tea¢bings of IsIanL with its own mortuary facilities and a fully ¢quipped hcaThe/ambulance manned by trained volunteers. Couples are issu¢d with all officiat Nikah certificate by the KMA once certsin ci)nditions are fidfilleiL In addition to marriages, the Mosque akn provide4 througb its qU￿lfied Jmams. guidance and support for those wisbing to embrace Islam. madr￿$¥ Classes Learning the Q￿'all is consider¢d an important elematt of religious education alld training. We provide this fa¢iltty for young people in the Mosque. We have over 3(X) Childre￿ rall￿ng from 6 to 16 years 01￿ attending our Madrassa cIasses. with a healthy waiting list. We have ¢A￿lenCed teachers for this purFrf)se. all of whom are Dis¢losure and Barring Ser4rice (DBS) che¢ke¢l In addition to in.house leaming. we provide pastornl activities for youllg people together with family Oulings and ¢ommuDity events.

Zakat is collected in proportion to a person's Wea￿ in accord￿ the teachings of Isla1￿ and is distributed for approved pwposes including helping those in need and supporting clwitable causes. A Muslim need not give Zakat tbrough the Mosque, but we provide the opprtUDity forthose attenthg the Mosque to donate 7Akat aDd we mnge its distribution for approved purpos¢s. Community AetiYAtles Our community ])all and rooms provide a valuable educational and rectutional resollwc for everyon¢ in the local co]nmunity. A wide variety of activities are otgalli5ed aDd tske place from OUT community centre, including a mothers and toddlers club. an elders, lullch club held ￿ery two months. and open days for the ￿der commullity to ￿sIt our Mosque. Hall and Rooms Our I￿11 and meeting room are available for by local coMmu￿lty organisatioTh8 for meetings and fjJn¢ti0￿1. They have also been bookcd by local ¢ounc]llors and mem1￿ts of Parliame]Li to hold commuDity surgeries. The loc21 MPS a]so visit the Mosqu¢ from time to litt￿ and bave addre&8￿ the collimutiity on several Occasio￿ before Friday congregational prdyers. Principal Funding Sources The clwity's PTincipal sour¢¢ of in(x)me is d¢Tived from dollatio￿ ￿CeiV¢d each week after Friday prayers. Despite curr¢Dt economi¢ ¢onditions affecting many households within our community, this continued level of voluntary giving reD￿I￿$ Fx)th generous and encourdging. Funeral donations hav¢ also become all important sour¢c of fundiug to support the Mosque's funetal s¢rYices. Th¢ community also continues to PrO￿de cknitsble donatiolls tow￿ relief funds to supply food and medical aid to Gaza and other areas affected by bumanitariall crises.
