ANNUAL REPORT for the Year ended 30th September 2025 REVIEW FTHEYEAR Projects carried out in this period Our initiatives have assisted the mosl disadvantaged children, young people, women. and families - especially those from newly settled migrant communities - in accessing a variety of services designed to improve health, wellbeing. and educational outcomes. We have provided support to children. women, and families from Ukraine. Roma. Kurdish, Libya, Afghanistan. Nigaria, Sudan, Hong Kong, Iian, Pakistan and other nationalities. Thanks to ongoing support from MPAC & Sutton Croft and Liverpool City Council, we offer free holiday dubs-an initiative we￿e for five years-for children and young people who qualify for free school meals. Most of our participants come from single- parent families, predominanuy single mothers who are either unemployed or earn below the minimum wage and receive income4elated benefits. Our actmties cover essential lrfe skills like (XK)king and gardenirvJ. along with sports, outings, perfom)ing arts, crafts, and personal development lempowenn8nt sessions. We provide nutritious free meals and encourage children to adopt healthier eakn'ng habits and active lrfestyles during the holidays. By engaging in enriching activities. they are safe from social isolation. build friendships. enhance their confidence and self- esteem, improve Iheir engagement at school. and become more involved in youth events. More children wth SEN needs are using the hollday scheme arKJ our offer reflects the changlng diverse needs and challenging demands we face to ensure appropriate care and support is provided. To meet this challenge. during the summer programme when we have a larger intake of children, and slaff have accessed SEN training to provide 1- 1 and small group support. We reintroduc%d our boostsr homework club. which we have run before. along with family leaming actiNqties that equip parents with the skills and confidence to support their children's educatron and development. Parents also participated in training focused on the UNESCO Child Rights Charter and the Child Friendly City initiative. where they examined issues like bullying and discrimination, and contributed to actions, practices, or policies Ihat promote lislening to children's voices and respectiiig their rights. Additionally, parents and carers received support, attending meetings with SENCO'S and head teachers to advocate for additional leaming support. navigate school choices and appeals. and. in some cases. obtain guidance on homeschooling or altemative education options. continued over/ page3of9

The need to develop an advocacy support is evident as parentsl carers have expressed feeling overwhelmed and intimidated by the school system and pro￿sS, due to language barrier and not urKlerstanding their ruhts or receiving conflicting information that left them confused, often being passed from one departmenl to another. Having someone to speak on their behalf and rA>mrnunicate on behalf of both the child and the parent intefests is a much-needed extension of our work that we are committed to developing We piloted a Football for Change proi8Ct. funded by Communty Foundation Merseyside, for girls aged 7-14 with behawoural diffiLwlts'es and SEN. The project used football to boost motivakn'on, confidence, and emotional resilience. Young volunteers also senrfed as youth mentors and received NVQ level 1 in football coaching. In partnership *ith local organisations, we delivered short course in literacy, numeracy, and IT digital indusion courses as part of our community impact programmes to help women with limited qualifications leam everyday application in budgeting and rnanaging priority bills. food shopping. calorie counting as well as stress managemenl workshops, exercise, yoga, healthy cooking. and monthly meetings for personalised guidance on issues such as health referrals, welfare benefits. housing, and children's educalion needs. Access to nutritious food and Ihe rising cost of living, and managing debt were major concems. leading lo higher demand for advice and support. we referred more clients to specialist agencies due to limited resources. This was supported by Feeding Liverpool and CAB. The members have not required the company to obtsin an audit of its accounts for the year in question in accordance with seclion 476. The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying wtth the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts. These accounts have been prepared in accordance with the prowsions applicable to companies subject to the small companies. regime. RESULTS FOR THE YEAR The results for the year are set out on the finance pages following this report. RESERVES The balances at 30th September 2025 amounled to £4,881, not taking into account the value of supplies held in reseNe [which for tyactical purposes have been written down to zero] by the company. FINANCIAL REVIEW During the year funding was received from a more limited range of sources, as in the Projects report. and as shown below in the Grants received section below. Income for the year decreased significantly to £37,267 [from 2024 £95,783] while Expenditu also decreased significantly to £47.233 [from 2024 £91,184] induding spending of grants received in the previous financial year. TH FufuRE Futur• d•velopments We plan to continue our main activities, secure further funding and develop new work and increase our volunteer capaaty with training support to develop skills within the organisation. From the information gathered at family networking consultations with women, there is sense of feeling ovenvhelmed by the school system and processes. that they find difficuft to understand due to language barrier and not understanding their rights. and how to communicate with services.
