Para 1.20 | Our work benefits the Persian Speaking people, in particular young people, to engage with their mother tongue culture in England. More than 3000 people have benefited by taking part in our events, most of which were held online during the 2020, as due to the COVID-19 Pandemic all our in-person activities were suspended from February 2020. |
Additional information (optional) You may choose to include further statements where relevant about:
| Achievements against objectives set |
Para 1.41 | Trustees are happy that despite the change in practices and holding all events online, see previous item, we have managed to reach our audience, in particular younger generations. Our annual fund raising event had to be cancelled, but we managed to hold the Annual Poetry Prize for the youth successfully. In fact, the move to online events has widened the audience and more diverse participation and engagement. |
|---|---|---|
| Performance of fundraising activities against objectives set |
Para 1.41 | Fund raising activities were lower than previous years mainly due to the lack of opportunities to organise socials events, dinners, gatherings, sale of books and tickets, etc. |
