CHIEF EXECUTIVE At Girls Flow Free, our mission has always been simple but urgent: to ensure that no girl or woman is hèld back because sha cannot afford menstrual product$. Across tho UK and Ghana, we have continued to provide flee menstrual Supplies. menstrual health education, and practical support to those who need it m05t. However, this year has not been without challenges, one of the lowest in reach we have recorded. The rising Cost of living, increased demand for support, and limited funding placed real pressure on our work. Like many small charities, we have had to stretch every donation, make difficult decisions, and find creativg ways to continue Serving oui communities, Yet, in thg middle of financial difficulty, we have segn hopg. We have 5gen schools, health centres, volunteers, partners, and kind-hearted individua15 stand with us. Their support has helped us keep going when the need was greater than our resources. Every delivery, every conversation, and every smile from a girl who receives support reminds us why this work matters. Peiiod poverty is not just about pads,. it is about dignity, confidence, education, health, and opportunity. As we look ahead, we remain committed, but we cannot do this alone. The charity is also well-posilioned lo manage ils cx)sls effectively. ReSee Policy It is the ¢haritls policy tr) maintain unrestricted funds. These are the reserves of the organisalion and shall be used to run the day-to-day operations of the charity. The recent economic downtum has harmed donations and, wnsequently, cash and reserves. Nofvlilhslanding the above, the organisalion has no material uncertainties relating to events or condib.ons that may cast significant doubl on the charity's ability to continue as a going concern for a period of at least twelve months from when the financial reports are authorised for issue.
Risk Management The charity has assessed all the major risks to which it is exposed lo. in particular those related to the operations and finances of the tharity, and are satisfied that systems are in pla to miligale exposure to major risks. Trustee Responsibilities Undei the Charities Act 2011, the trustees are required to prepare a statement of accounts for each accounting year, which gives a true and fair view of the state of the church. They are required to= 1. Select suitable accounting poliaes and apply them consislenlly. 2. Make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudenL 3. Stale whether the applicable accounting standards have been followed. 4. Prepare financial statements on an ongoing basis. They also have a responsibility lo safeguard the assets of the church and to lake reasonable steps to delecl fraud or other irregularities.
