The Downforce Trust promotes action on climate change, specifically through funding research and programmes designed to accelerate the deployment and scaling of known technologies. The Trust has a particular interest in carbon drawdown using nature-based solutions as these are available and scalable today.

Objects: The Purpose Of The Downforce Trust Is Environmental Protection And Improvement And Its Objects Are:(1) Accelerating The Deployment Of Systems That Capture And Sustainably Store Carbon Dioxide In Order To Reduce The Concentration Of Greenhouse Gases In The Earth's Atmosphere ('Carbon Sequestration').(2) Accelerating The Deployment Of Systems Which Reduce The Emission Of Carbon Dioxide And Other Greenhouse Gases In Order To Decarbonise The Global Economy ('Emissions Reduction').(3) Promoting Education Concerning Carbon Sequestration And Emissions Reduction.(4) Promoting And Supporting Scientific And Educational Studies, Research And Projects And The Publication Of Scientific And Educational Works Relating To Carbon Sequestration And Emissions Reduction.the Beneficiaries Of The CIO Shall Be Humankind. The Cioæs Area Of Benefit Is Worldwide.
