Activities

Bradford African and Caribbean Elders (BACE) brings together older people from African and Caribbean Community across Bradford District to identify and promote awareness of their needs and to support individuals and groups.

Objects: 1) The Promotion Of Social Inclusion For The Public Benefit By Working With People In Bradford Who Are Socially Excluded On The Grounds Of Their Ethnic Origin And Age (In Particular, African And Caribbean Elders Who Are 50 Years Old And Over) To Relieve The Needs Of Such People And Assist Them To Integrate Into Society, In Particular By:a) Providing A Local Network Group That Encourages And Enables African And Caribbean Elders To Participate More Effectively With The Wider Community;b) Increasing, Or Co-Ordinating, Opportunities For African And Caribbean Elders To Engage With Service Providers, To Enable Those Providers To Adapt Services To Better Meet The Needs Of That Community.2) The Promotion Of Equality And Diversity For The Public Benefit By Promoting Activities To Foster Understanding Between People From Diverse Backgrounds.
