The net income from fundraising was £7.345.82, this income came from fundraising activities, event revenue, event ttcket sales and contributions from partners such as the Amazon Smile scheme and the Ralnbow Lottery. The charity has no funds which are materially In deficit. Investment powers and pollcy Majority of the Charit¢s funds are to be Spent in the short term within the 12 months of receipt so the opportunities for longer term investment are limited. The Charity aim to maintain an adequate level of reserve5 to ensure it can continue to provide the seNices of Salford Pride. Reserves policy and going concern The balance held in unrestricted reserves as of 31st December 2023 was £29,173 of which all are free reserves, after allowing funds tied up in tangible fixed assets. The trustees aim to maintain free reserves in unrestricted funds at a level which equates to approximately 36 months of unrestricted charitable expendrcure and or twenty-five percentage of the total cost of our main project, The Pink Picnic if sufficient fL5nds are not ralsed within the following year to prevent any cancellation. The Trustees consider that this level will provide sufficient funds to respond to applications for grants and ensure that su pport and governance costs are covered. The charivs main source of income is grants and sponsorship. The trustees consider that it is approprlate to prepare the accounts on a going concern basis and, consequently, the accounts
SALFORD PRIDE do not include any adjustments that would be necessary if these sources of incorne should cease. Rlsk management The trustees conduct a review ever year of the major risks to which the Charity is exposed, and systems and financial procedures Salford Pride have in place to mitigate those risks. Internal control risks are minimised by the implementation of authorisation procedures for all transacti ons and payments. Procedures are in place to ensure compliance with health and safety requirements for staff, volunteers, and visitors. Future Plans Salford Pride aims to continue the delivery of our main project, The Pink Picnic and endeavours to ensure the event is a cultural priority for the city for the benefit of the local LGBTQ+ community and to ensure that LGBTQ+ people have visibility and a voice in Salford. In addition, 5alford Pride will continue to develop projects to provide vital information and support to those that need it within our city.
