In furthering its objects the CIO shall make grants to organisations which pursue the following charitable purposes for the public benefit: (a) to promote literacy, education and technical training for disadvantaged persons; (b) to prevent or relieve poverty by providing grants, items and facilities to individuals in need (and not for any private benefit), or by making grants to charities working to prevent or relieve poverty; (c) to advance good health for |
| disadvantaged communities, to train medical staff, improve health care and hygiene practices; and (d) to advance citizenship or community development by reinforcing the capacities of organisations from the civil society so that they are able efficiently to meet the needs of disadvantaged communities (and not for any private benefit) - in such countries as the charity trustees may from time to time designate. |

Due to the impact of the pandemic on the UK banking system, and challenges faced with verifying the address of one Trustee when they moved house, the CIO has still not yet been able to distribute grant funding due to delays in opening a bank account. |
