The charity has produced a broad range of
concerts for the enjoyment and education of
the local community. Attendances increased
and notably two concerts at Grimsby Minster
were sell outs. The band took part in the
Holme Valley contest and provided
entertainment throughout the year at the
request of local organisations, including a
partnership with the Rotary Club for a
Christmas concert.
The band was runner up in a national
competition for lighting products. Ceiling
panel lights were purchased at a discount
and batton lights given free of charge to
improve the band room lighting and move to
100% LED. Further minor works were
carried out to repair the roof, a plumbing leak
and fire extinguishers refilled. Two
instruments required repair and new music
stands and lights were purchased. A
donation was made for instruments received
from a defunct local brass band.
