To secure for the public benefit the preservation, protection and improvements of Beckets Park as a place of historical and ecological interest and beauty. To promote conservation of the natural plant and trees, animal and birdlife of the park. To encourage appropriate leisure and recreational activities. To promote suitable community events in the park. To be a voice for Beckets Park.

Objects: The Objects Of The CIO Are: 1) To Promote For The Benefit Of The Public The Conservation, Protection And Improvement Of The Physical And Natural Environment Through The Preservation And Maintenance Of Beckets Park And Its Flora And Fauna.2) To Promote For The Benefit Of The Inhabitants Of Northampton And The Surrounding Area The Provision Of Facilities For Recreation Or Other Leisure Time Occupation Of Individuals Who Have Need Of Such Facilities By Reason Of Their Youth, Age, Infirmity Or Disablement, Financial Hardship Or Social And Economic Circumstances Or For The Public At Large In The Interests Of Social Welfare And With The Object Of Improving The Condition Of Life Of The Said Inhabitants.
