Summary of the purposes of the charity as set out in its governing document	Para 1.17	The object of the three bears foundation is: The advancement of health and the saving of lives of people with cancer in particular but not limited to people with pancreatic cancer. The above object will be achieved by such means as the Charity Trustees see fit from time to time and may include, but shall not be limited to: (i) making grants to groups or service providers working with individual families & groups living with a diagnosis of cancer. and (ii) provide grants to charities involved in cancer research. (iii) Raising awareness of the symptoms and impact of cancer.

Para 1.17 and 1.19	The key fundraising activities undertaken during the year were: • Donations • A golf day • The sale of merchandise /chocolate • Summer Ball • Purple Day • Wine tasting event Income from these activities totalled £39,729.41. Costs were incurred during the period in the sum of £26,914.15 which included fees to host a golf day and a summer ball. In addition merchandise was purchased for

		resale, and marketing and administrative costs were also incurred. During the period the Three Bears Foundation continued to maintain its profile, raise awareness about pancreatic cancer and planed fundraising events for future years.

Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole.	Para 1.20	In the period ended September 2022 the charity’s fundraising activities included fund raising through the sale of merchandise and a golf day event, wine tasting and a summer ball. The charity re-introduced providing grants to charities involved in cancer research. Trustees attended regular business networking sessions to increase awareness of the symptoms and impact of cancer. The Three Bears Foundation continued to be the resident Charity of four networking groups and during the period met with approximately 100-150 businesses and individuals during networking sessions.
