ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE Over the past year Your EDGE has ¢onlinu8d to grow 8nd bulld further lInkrelatIonShIpS wlth local organlsations and people. W8 have s8cured another year of youlh work trainlng courses at both L8vel 2 and Level 3. The organisation seen a passing out of over 55 new youth work8rs Into our Communities. We have continued to grow our servic8s in schools and now deliver In a number of hard to reach alternatlV8 education seltings. Ak)ngside this we have also support8d the voluntary sector In many ways deliverlng Iralnlng to support their stsff and volunteers developmant which has included introductions to youth work and sup8rvision skllls. We hav8 also seen an increase in demand on our work wilhin the youth ontre settings delivering group work and continuing io support staff in tralning etc. We estlmated that this year we have worked with a total of over 920 young people and 340 adults. These indivlduals have com8 from a verity of backgrounds and varied in levels of support needed. We feel that the work we have continued to deliver has continued to give participants and the voluntary sector an EDGE in the continued social and professional developmenl. FINANCIAL REVIEW Total income for year was £117,801 (2023.. £100,767). of which £3.750 (2023.. £13.976) related to funding for which restrictions are placed. Total expenditure for year was £121.733 (2023.. £114,130), leavlng a deficit for the y8ar of £3,93212023.' d8firit £13,363). Al 3181 March 2024 the charitable Company's reserves stood at £8,176 {2023.' £12,108). of which £3,755 (2023.. £9.467) represented restricted funds.

Extemal risks to funding hav6 led to the development of a strat6gic plan whl¢h will allow for the diversification of funding and activities, funding Strands have become more competltlve and reduced in avallabillty. Internal control risks are mlnimised by the implementation of proc8dures for authorisation of all Ir8nsactions and projects. Procedures are in place to ensure compliance with health and safety of staff, volunt68rs, service users and visltors to th8 premises. Standards are monltored both internally and externally lo ensure consistent quality of delivery for all operational aspects of the charity. Thes8 procedure5 are periodically reviewed to ensure that they contlnue to meet the ne8ds of the charitab18 Company. Secondly, we aim to push the development and adv8rtlsement of the mobi18 new hub to hopefully asslst communities more and increase funding support lo the organlsatlon. Lastly, we will be looking into the Opllon of employing another member of staff to help with the above development and staffing. STRUCTURE. The Governlng Instruments under which the charitable company operates comprise the Memorandum and Articles of Association dated 5th September 2018. About our Trustees Paul Hogan is a Trustee at Your Edge and an acttve tutor within the organlsation. Paul com8s with a deplh of experience and knowledge that encompasses both the voluntary and statutory sectors. He has postgraduat8 qualifications in both Sports Science and Youth & Communlty Work.
