MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR l am proud to report in ourannual accounts 2020 and reflect back on this turbulent, challengingyear. Amidst diseasep povertyi distress and emotional hardships we were able to bring some light into this challenging blackout. Our community proved how resilient and strong we can be through difficult circumstances and how we rise to the challenge again and again to adapt and modify our services to benefit those in need. I would like to thankour dedicated funders who have put a strong focus to helping charities like us continue to provide important services for crisi5 relief. We would never have managedwithoutthem. At Shining Stars London, we believe that every child deserves access to basie need supports, safe spaces, happiness, caring adults, enriching experiences and the opportunities. skills and resourees required to reach their full potential as adults. When kids spend significant time at the Clubs they avoid costly mistakes thatweaken our community. Throughout the years, the core of Shining Stars has been to provide a sale, accessible space for kids and families during the out-of-school-time hours. When the foundatlonal needs are met a safe space. a warm meal. stable adult relationships- kids are then free to focus on other areas of their lives like doing well in school. Year 2019 has been extremely challenging for all, and especially for youth organisations who were forced to balance between meeting increased demand for services, and adjusting services to keep everyone safe!

Incredibly, Shining stars have managed to maintain the twinkle of the starlight throughout the darkness of Covid-19.
