MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR
l am proud to report in ourannual accounts 2020 and reflect back
on this turbulent, challengingyear.
Amidst diseasep povertyi distress and emotional hardships we
were able to bring some light into this challenging blackout. Our
community proved how resilient and strong we can be through
difficult circumstances and how we rise to the challenge again
and again to adapt and modify our services to benefit those in
need. I would like to thankour dedicated funders who have put a
strong focus to helping charities like us continue to provide
important services for crisi5 relief. We would never have
managedwithoutthem.
As you will read our reporti you will feel much happiness and
warmth and it will amaze you how many projects we were able
to provide in such challenging times, and how much starlight can
befound in a darksky.

At Shining Stars London, we believe that every child deserves access to basie
need supports, safe spaces, happiness, caring adults, enriching experiences and
the opportunities. skills and resourees required to reach their full potential as
adults. When kids spend significant time at the Clubs they avoid costly mistakes
thatweaken our community.
Throughout the years, the core of Shining Stars has been to provide a sale,
accessible space for kids and families during the out-of-school-time hours. When
the foundatlonal needs are met
a safe space. a warm meal. stable adult
relationships- kids are then free to focus on other areas of their lives like doing
well in school. This empowers kids to plan for their future. whèther it is attending

RISKASSESSMENT
The trustees have assessed the major risks to which the charity is
exposed, in particular those related to the operations and finances of
the charity, and are satisfied that systems are in place to mitigate their
exposureto major risks.
STATEMENTOFTRUSTEES, RESPONSIBILITIES
Charity law requires the trustees to prepare financial statements for
each financial yearwhich give a true and fairview of the state of affairs
of the charity and of the profit or loss of the charity for that period. In
preparingthose financial statements we:
-Selectsuitable accountingpoliciesandthen applythem consistently;
- Make judgements and estimatesthat are reasonable and prudent;
Prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it
is inappropriate to presume that the charity will continue in its
activities.
The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records
which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial
position of the charity and to enable them to ensure that the financial
statements complywith the CharitiesAct 2011.
AUDITOR
There is no audit requirement for the charity. An independent
examiner's unqualified reportwill beprepared by Declaron Ltd.
