|---|---|---|
| Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole. |
Para 1.20 | It has again been a challenging year however since September 2024 we have more stability staffing wise with a new staff member who is working towards her level 3 qualification through Mudiad Meithrin’s Cam wrth Gam course. We remain unable to offer 4 sessions a week due to staffing. The link Foundation Learning Advisory Teacher from Powys is pleased with the progress the Cylch has made since September 2024 when we had more security with staffing and continues to work with us to progress further and provide a variety of learning experiences to the children who attend. In September 2024, Samantha Shelley joined the committee, DBS has been completed by the Responsible Individual to ensure we meet standards of all organisations. Committee meetings are held every half term and attended by staff and committee members. |

Financial Review
| Financial Review | ||
|---|---|---|
| Review of the charity’s financial position at the end of the period |
Para 1.21 | The accounts for the Cylch continue to be prepared on a cash basis (receipts and payments) and therefore do not reflect any prepayments or accruals. During the year Cylch has unfortunately reported a loss this last financial year of - £3,232.82, this is mainly due to staffing shortages in the first six month period affecting our opening hours and the additional funding we would have normally received from the 2+ children attending. There was also a late funding payment from Powys which contributed towards the loss. All bills are paid in a timely fashion, and everything is up to date. With more stability with staffing and an additional committee member there are now more opportunities for fundraising, and this did start in January 2024 where an event raised £267 for the Cylch. We will continue to build on this in the next financial year. Full membership fee to Mudiad Meithrin has been paid. |
| Statement explaining the policy for holding reserves stating why they are held |
Para 1.22 | We hold sufficient reserves in case we need to pay staff redundancies. |
| Amount of reserves held | Para 1.22 | £6,000.00 |
| Reasons for holding zero reserves |
Para 1.22 | |
| Details of fund materially in deficit |
Para 1.24 | |
| Explanation of any uncertainties about the charity continuing as a going concern |
Para 1.23 | The low number of young children in the catchment area remains a concern and challenge. Powys County Council have agreed we are able to continue to offer |
opportunities for 2+ children to attend to increase numbers and make us more financially viable. The committee is still small, has a vacant role (secretary) meaning there is additional work for those involved.
