Section D Achievements and performance
Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year
South Petherton Shed has had a very successful year. Most of the members attend every week and many say what a lifeline it is for them. The variety of items made never ceases to amaze, and sales are going well. Projects for the local community included making bookstands for the local school’s library and repairing one of the Parish Council’s noticeboards.
We were lucky to be invited to have a stall in a local community café for a month, and this gave our funds a very welcome boost.
We were especially pleased to be asked to help to set up a new Shed in Langport as the people starting it liked what we do. We were able to give them copies of our membership form, our rules and our accident forms, in addition to giving them surplus tools and timber. We shall keep in touch with them and follow their progress with interest.
