This period was the second year of operation during the unpr~~abie impact of the global Covid pandemic whereby various lockdowns and Vavel restrictions curtailed normal activities which might otherwise have raised funds and reauited project volunteers, A proposed noting of aN tfie TF global organisations in Cape Verde could not go ahead. Given that the bulk of global fundiiig for TF is through conservation grarits a concerled apliroach was made to tetrgeted Vusts and foundatioris ba~~:d in tfie UK which would not previously have been possible to approaHi due to TF being based overseas. 8ut since TF-UK was establiMM in late 2019it can tap into new funding possibilities via applications made here in 8ritain. Two sizeable grants ofE10,000and E4,000were received from UK- based conservation trusts which directly helped fund a new project in Indonesia on the island of Selaut Besar (see annual report pl3).
