ofthe charity||||Securing three grants for specific projects helped achieve the following
results:|| |during the year||||Indonesia:
on the remote island ofSelaut Besar a total of777turtle nests|| |||||were protected and 62,125hatchlings
were assisted. This consisted of|| |||||leatherback,
green and hawksbill
species but also olive ridtey turtles|| |||||visited sporadically.|| |||||A ranger team of9locals could be trained,
deployed and paid plus|| |||||transport
and camp equipment
purchased
as well as materials
for data|| |||||collection.|| |||||A hatchery was built and patrols made regularly
to deter poachers.|| |||||The success ofthis new project has resulted

Overall, a record total of35,367loggerhead

engagement

swimming
courses for children

ethical clothing and jewellery
manufacturers,
eco-friendly
straw manufacturers
