Our goal is to empower these children through education, helping them to reach their full potential and contribute to the development of their communities.

Providing Essental Learning Materials : Supplying children with educational materials, school uniforms, bags, and shoes to ensure they are prepared for school. -
Building a Purpose-Built School : Establishing a modern educational facility equipped with up-to-date technology and resources to enhance learning. - Supportng School Fees : Assisting with the payment of school fees for children who are at risk of dropping out due to financial constraints. -
Holistc Child Assessments : Conducting comprehensive assessments with input from teachers and parents to determine each child’s unique educational needs.

Background and Inspiraton : The foundation’s work is deeply personal to its founder, who grew up in Oyo State and witnessed firsthand the challenges and disparities in access to quality education. Inspired by childhood experiences and volunteer work in local Sunday schools, the founder was driven to give back to the community and help children who, despite their eagerness and potential, face significant barriers to education. Through market research and direct conversations with teachers and headmasters in Oyo State, the foundation has confirmed the urgent need for its services.
Challenges in the Nigerian Educaton System : Nigeria faces a significant challenge with an estimated 10 million children aged 5 to 14 not in full-time education, despite compulsory education laws. In Oyo State, underfunded government schools, outdated curricula, poor facilities, and frequent teacher strikes further hinder access to quality education. Private schools, while offering better resources, are often unaffordable for families living in poverty. Children Matter Foundation seeks to bridge this gap by creating equal opportunities for all children to receive a quality education.
