Through market research and direct conversations with teachers and headmasters in Oyo State, the foundation has confirmed the urgent need for its services. Challenges in the Nigerian Educaton System : Nigeria faces a significant challenge with an estimated 10 million children aged 5 to 14 not in full-time education, despite compulsory education laws. In Oyo State, underfunded government schools, outdated curricula, poor facilities, and frequent teacher strikes further hinder access to quality education. Private schools, while offering better resources, are often unaffordable for families living in poverty. Children Matter Foundation seeks to bridge this gap by creating equal opportunities for all children to receive a quality education.
