Objectives and Activities

The purpose of the Friends of Twickenham Primary Academy (FoTPA) as set out in its constitution is to advance the education of pupils in Twickenham Primary Academy (TPA), in particular by:

The trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit.

Achievements and Performance

During the year 2023/24, the primary fundraising target for FoTPA was purchasing new folding dining tables to allow the dining hall to be used outside of meal times. We reached this target and the students and teachers are enjoying the benefits of the new tables and the space they have opened up. Additional investment took place into events designed with both the enjoyment of the students as well as fundraising opportunities in mind.

Financial Review

FoTPA had a highly successful year with total grants to Twickenham Primary Academy and equipment purchased directly totalling £12,808 (2023: £23,281). FoTPA ended the year with reserves of £13,920 (2023: £7,470). These funds have accumulated since the charity was established and have reduced during 2024/25 as almost all of the surplus generated in 2023/24 has been granted to TPA to fund improvements to the playground. The reserves are also needed to make payments in advance to fund fundraising events.

There is no uncertainty about FoTPA’s ability to continue as a going concern.
