To conduct religious activities and celebrate cultural events of Sri Lankan heritage, support and guide mindfulness and meditation practices, and, most importantly, teach the teachings of Lord Buddha.

Section D Achievements and performance
Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year
1) Sunday Dhamma School: The charity launched a Sunday Dhamma School last year and continues to attract more students this year, showing steady growth and development. 2) Sri Lankan Dance Classes: The charity introduced traditional Sri Lankan dance classes last year, which have continued to grow in popularity. Classes are conducted on a weekly basis and attract an increasing number of students.
3) Mindfulness Sessions:
The charity successfully offered more mindfulness sessions this year, catering to individuals of Sri Lankan heritage as well as the local community. These sessions promote mental well-being and cultural understanding. 4) Fire Alarm, Security, and CCTV Systems: The fire alarm, security, and CCTV systems were upgraded to enhance safety and protection.
5) Temple Renovation:
The temple renovation project was successfully completed last year.

Principal Sources of Funding:
The charity’s main sources of funding include volunteer contributions, fundraising through religious events, and donations received via Gift Aid, for which we are a registered organisation.
Our expenditure is directed towards supporting the charity’s objectives. As a small and recently established charity, no decision has yet been made regarding potential investments.

Our charity is making steady progress despite being a small and recently established organisation. Our main religious and cultural events attract over 400 participants on each occasion.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended D 31/12/2024..
Responsibilties and As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the basis of report accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have examiner's statement come to my attention in connection with the examination (other than that disclosed below *) which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:

the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or

the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or

the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
