Para 1.17 and 1.19 |
To provide a helpline which creates a safe space for survivors of rape and sexual abuse to contact in order to speak to trained volunteers or qualified therapists who will listen, believe, validate and empathise with them. Red Kite provides psychological first aid to them. We triage their needs, making onward referrals to other agencies as appropriate. We provide therapy through a variety of means, whether one-to-one or in groups. Red Kite provides therapy (free at the point of contact) to enable survivors to learn new coping strategies, to manage their everyday lives and responsibilities, and to heal enough to live full, happier lives in their communities. Clients’ qualitative improvements are monitored by standard questionnaires and recorded for performance reporting purposes. We operate a mixed model of service combining a virtual office and online services with face-to-face consultations with Therapists in their consulting rooms according to client preference. |
