Achievements and Performance
SORP reference
| Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole. |
Para 1.20 | The Tredegar Task Force served the public and social services by delivering food parcels, medication and shopping trips totalling 20,000 completed jobs throughout Blaenau Gwent. The Film Academy engages around 200 young people every week with no charges to families. With the focus in education of media, our students create films (many award- winning). We are linked with Trinity Collage in London, who moderates their work as part of the Arts Awards program, so every child gets a qualification. Around 25% of our members has additional learning needs. The very popular Over 60’s Social Club (in partnership with other community groups) have around 180 members with free entry to members. Every two weeks we hold events that have a direct positive benefit. The film events are very popular as are music days. We find this beneficial to wellbeing especially to members who suffer from dementia as they find classic films and music help against memory loss. |
