crisis; c) continued to run the Dawlish Community Larder, to
help meet the needs of local families and individuals
struggling to access basic foodstuffs, and d) employed a

Achievements and Performance

SORP reference
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity’s work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.
Para 1.20 ROC Dawlish continues to play a key role in fostering
community collaboration by encouraging partnership
working between charities and other local agencies for the
public benefit. The charity has continued to provide
strategic input into the wider community through the cost-
of-living crisis, as an active participant in Helping Dawlish
and through closer liaison with local schools, following the
appointment of our Schools’ Coordinator in July 2022. In
addition to continuing to supply basic foodstuffs to local
families in need through the Dawlish Community Larder,
ROC Dawlish has also been running a family mentoring
scheme, through collaboration with Dawlish College, the
local Secondary School. This scheme promises hope for
transformation in local families struggling to access
education, for whatever reason. This scheme was funded
by the Police and Crime Commissioner for a second year
running to help reduce the risk of children refusing regular
school attendance from becoming involved in anti-social
behaviour, including illegal drugs.
