|Summary of the main<br>activities in relation to those<br>purposes for the public<br>benefit, in particular, the<br>activities, projects or<br>services identified in the<br>accounts.|Para 1.17 and<br>1.19|From the 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2023, ROC<br>Dawlish has a) further developed a family mentoring<br>scheme in collaboration with the local Secondary School; b)<br>remained a key player in running ‘Helping Dawlish’, a<br>collaboration between key local agencies and charities,<br>combatting the negative social effects of the cost-of-living<br>crisis; c) continued to run the Dawlish Community Larder, to<br>help meet the needs of local families and individuals<br>struggling to access basic foodstuffs, and d) employed a<br>Schools’ Coordinator to manage the many different projects<br>we run both in, and with, local schools, including an<br>intergenerational engagement scheme for children at risk of<br>exclusion.|

The charity has continued to provide<br>strategic input into the wider community through the cost-<br>of-living crisis, as an active participant in Helping Dawlish<br>and through closer liaison with local schools, following the<br>appointment of our Schools’ Coordinator in July 2022. In<br>addition to continuing to supply basic foodstuffs to local<br>families in need through the Dawlish Community Larder,<br>ROC Dawlish has also been running a family mentoring<br>scheme, through collaboration with Dawlish College, the<br>local Secondary School. This scheme promises hope for<br>transformation in local families struggling to access<br>education, for whatever reason. This scheme was funded<br>by the Police and Crime Commissioner for a second year<br>running to help reduce the risk of children refusing regular<br>school attendance from becoming involved in anti-social<br>behaviour, including illegal drugs.|
