The assets, liabilities and actNities of thè Chureh were transferred from the fom)er uninwrporated charty with effect from 26 Jung 2020. -Thè Trustees consider th8t there are SLrfficiènt reserves to tnaintsin our regular actTrrities. R¢furbishment work is being furKled from resèrvès, together wlh a loan facility from the Custodian trusteg. All tsur activities follow from thesè three 8ims. A¢hievemÈnts & Performance During thè yearthe Ghurch received regular income suffioenl to ￿￿Intain ts minty aclwlties In the community, and to fu￿1 our responsibilities for the upkeep of our premlses. We also recelved further donations towards improving our buildings. Further rèfurbishment work to the ￿ar part of our buildings was ctsmpleted during the year. We continued thè project to support our local community by providing a Friendship space, now M&ld Iw monthly on Thursdays, with a variety of actwities such as frtness sessions, Craft work and mu8ic. In August our Friendship Space and Bring me Sunshine hDSted a joint multi-cultural community event wth organ and guitar music. poems and song, f￿d and fun. In October anolherjoint ev8nt ￿lebrated Black History Month. wth music from organ. steel band. règgae and quadrille dancing. and induding 8 Caribbean cultural meal. Also in October we again held a coffeè moming. raising £515 for Macmil]an's Cancer Support. In March wè hosted friends from Joeal ¢hurches for a worfd day of prayer servic8. Activities wth children have continued on Sundays and the Monday club night. A n&w group, Faith Hub, brings togÈthÈr tèènagers and young adults in study and action. Regular evening gatherings for study and pmyer have continued on Zoom. Growng Path, the nursery that use5 one Df our halls, has been able to mainl8in its Wcprk throughout the year. We contribut&d to a variety of outside causes (listed in note 7 to thè fin8n¢ial statements). Plans for Future In the future the church plans to ￿ntinue, under God's guldance, to seek to further its aims, espèclally the spiritual and numerical growth of our Christian community. Wo a￿ hoping to continue to build on what wé havé begun in our refurbished building in 2022-23, wth charity and sodal events. We ￿￿11 continue lo welcome ancl support our Ioc81 community, and exploring new ways of fulfilling our mlssion objective. Responslbllities for the year endèd 31 December 2023 Charity law requires the Twstees to prepare in respect of each accounting period of the charity a statement of accounts complying with such requir8merrts as lo its form and content as may be prescribed by regulations made by the Secretary of Slate. Responsibllities and basis of report As the charity trustees of the Charity you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in aGcordar)ce with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 {"the Act.). I reFK)rt in respect of my examination of the Charivs accounts caThied out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 14515} (b) of the 2011 Act. Independent examlnerfs statement I have completed my examination.
