and 1.19 with members of the public during the day (e.g.
working with schools) and at night (helping
vulnerable people outside of pubs, nightclubs,
wine bars etc). Once the government restrictions
for dealing with the pandemic were issued, our
face to face work was cancelled for the bulk of
2020. However we accomplished the following
pre and post pandemic in the period from Sept
19-Dec 20:
Street Pastor patrols -in Brixton, Clapham
and Vauxhall pre and post pandemic. This work
includes keeping the peace where we spot
heated confrontations taking place; helping
inebriated people to get home safely; taking
extremely intoxicated people to a safe hub we
ran in partnership with St John’s ambulance to
help them recover sufciently to get home
safely; handing out fip fops to clubbers with
sore feet; providing a listening ear for people
who are distressed or depressed and need
someone to talk to and removing discarded glass
bottles from outside pubs, wine bars and clubs to
prevent them from being used as deadly
weapons in a fght.
Journey Makers– our Street Pastors partnered
with this organisation in a government funded
project to help passengers at Clapham Junction
navigate the new covid layout for the station.
Once the project was through, Lambeth Street
Pastors received £3,057.55 from the fund.
School Pastors– creating programmes for
young people in Lambeth schools which
including mentoring, school assemblies and 1:1
assistance; the creation of Kick Academy, the
aim of which is to instil in young people biblical
values through sports and dance while providing
a safe space in which to build healthy
friendships.

Summary of the main We were pleased that during such a
achievements of the Para 1.20 tumultuous season we were able to
charity, identifying the retain our volunteers and to find ways
difference the charity’s to stay connected with our community
work has made to the despite lockdown. A couple of projects
circumstances of its were tapped into via Zoom to continue
beneficiaries and any our work of caring and sharing for
wider benefits to society some of the most vulnerable amongst
as a whole. us.
Before and after lockdown, the
Lambeth Street Pastors have continued
to show commitment to the well being
of all those they come across in the
Lambeth area.
After the first lockdown lifted the Street
Pastors switched from patrolling
amongst the Night Time Economy
(NTE) and started patrolling during the
day, which proved to be just as
productive. As there was so much fear
during the first wave of the pandemic,
those who connected with Street
Pastors (after some of the restrictions
were lifted) were grateful to have
listening ears to share their anxieties
with.
Main achievements:
Lambeth School Pastors : (Pre and
post lockdown)
The aim of Lambeth School Pastors
(LSPs) is to encourage peace within
schools and the local community. Their
presence helps to reduce antisocial
behaviour but more importantly
provides the LSPs with the opportunity

to build relationships with the students and earn the right to speak positively into their lives. Such is the success that the LSPs are having with students that they have been invited back for the second year in a row to Elmgreen Academy to deliver talks to year 10’s studying RE, looking at faith groups and community work. The Coordinator is working on extending the school network of LSPs to include primary schools and work with those who have SEN and those on the verge of exclusion, as well as offering one to one and group mentoring sessions. Street Pastors: (Pre and post lockdown) The team members supported local charities CHIPS by being befrienders supporting families through their phoneline support programme and their local Food Bank feeding the local community. Use of Zoom (during lockdown) : The Zoom parent support group has been running since April 2020 in partnership with the with Awesome Autism Community Group. - The space was created to give parents a place to have some ‘Me Time’ and discuss adult issues with mindfulness. - It’s a non judgemental space for them to blow off steam and share their burdens and find solidarity and support from others who are in the same situation. - The Coordinator and up to two school pastors attend the group each week. - The main aim of the group is to Encourage, Empower and Educate. - It is an organic space which allows ideas and experiences to be shared.

Financial Review

----- Start of picture text -----
Review of the charity’s Para 1.21 At the end of 2020 we were in a
financial position at the healthy financial position going into
end of the period 2021, i.e. we had enough money to
pay for our Coordinator’s salary until
the end of 2021. As this is our main
expense we make this our primary
focus in our financial planning.
Statement explaining the Para 1.22 Lambeth Street Pastors doesn’t have a
policy for holding specific policy re holding money in our
reserves stating why they account. All monies donated to the

held in our bank account. Whatever
our balance is at the end of the year
we review this to see how much money
we need to raise, if any, for the
following year to ensure that our
financial responsibilities can be met.
