Objectives and Activities
Trace Planet works to promote environmental regeneration as a key solution to slow down climate change, engaging communities and organizations to transition from an extractive to a regenerative mindset, and to trigger behavioural change that leads to measurable impact.
The object for which Trace Planet is established, as set out in its Constitution, is the advancement of education in climate change, environmental protection and sustainable consumption anywhere in the world for the general public by online communications and face-to-face workshops and other educational gatherings.
The Trustees confirm that they have had regard to the guidance issues by the Charity Commission on public benefit, and they confirm that Trace Planet is a public benefit entity.
Achievements and Performance
For the period of the financial year going from 01/04/2020 to 31/03/2021, the work of Trace Planet focused on educational work, mostly through events.
- 1) Events details
We run our event series Fashion for the Planet, completing all stages of event design, speaker selection and preparation and event promotion. Our impact from the series:

Paying more attention to the composition of garments before buying them, trying to avoid fabrics that are harmful for the planet

Sharing what they learned with their community

Organising a similar workshop for their community
The events run included the following:

What’s in my clothes? A participative workshop to understand fabrics and components, and their impact on the environment, workers and your skin.

Regenerative Economies: What are they, and can fashion play a role in building them?

Less clothes, or better clothes? A snapshot at the fashion industry today, and a conversation on how our clothes can change it for the better.

Fashion, planet and community in the age of coronavirus: where we stand and what’s next.
2) Information on other key activities
The team also worked on creating educational content for social media and participated in events run by other organisations to highlight the importance of regenerative agriculture as a main strategy to combat climate change, recover eroded soil and sequester carbon for the atmosphere.
Additional to our work in education, we started working with other organisations in the regenerative space to find funding to develop regenerative agriculture support programs within the fashion industry.

The Trustees have considered all information provided and believe that the charity is a going concern.
Structure, Governance and Management
Trace Planet is a Charitable Incorporated Organization (CIO) registered in the Charity Commission with number 1185153.
Trace Planet is governed by its Constitution dated 15th July 2019 and its registered office is 80 Aberdeen Road, London N5 2XA.
The governance and management of Trace Planet is provided by the Board of Trustees whose members operate in accordance with the articles of association.
