Amenity Use In July we were able to hold the launch event planned for the previous year, but postponed due to Covid restrictions. After a picnic lunch we introduced those present (some 25)to some ofthe wildlife on the Common and the management work undertaken and talked about the organisation ofthe Trust. |
||||
| We have prepared a leaflet about the Common and put up posters at |
all | ||||
| the entrances welcoming walkers and indicating how they can contribute |
|||||
| to the care of the Common. The Common has continued to be widely |
|||||
| used by locals and those from further afield. This has not been without | its | ||||
| problems (litter, burnt area, quad bikes, etc.), but most users are |
|||||
| generally respectful. |
|||||
| The trust received some welcome publicity in the local press when a |

| bench was donated and installed to thank the Lord ofthe Manor for his |

| gift ofthe Common to the Trust. | |||||
| We believe that in all our activities we have complied with the duty in |

| section 4 ofthe 2006 Act to have due regard to guidance on public |
