Use
In July we were able to hold the launch event planned
for the previous
year, but postponed
due to Covid restrictions.
After a picnic lunch we
introduced
those present (some 25)to some ofthe wildlife on the
Common
and the management
work undertaken
and talked about the
organisation
ofthe Trust.||
|||||We have prepared a leaflet about the Common
and put up posters at|all|
|||||the entrances
welcoming
walkers and indicating
how they can contribute||
|||||to the care of the Common. The Common has continued
to be widely||
|||||used by locals and those from further afield. This has not been without|its|
|||||problems
(litter, burnt area, quad bikes, etc.), but most users are||
|||||generally
respectful.||
|||||The trust received some welcome
publicity
in the local press when a||
|||||bench was donated
and installed to thank the Lord ofthe Manor for his||
|||||gift ofthe Common to the Trust.||
|||||We believe that in all our activities we have complied
with the duty
in||
|||||section 4 ofthe 2006 Act to have due regard to guidance
on public||
|||||benefit
