charity’s work has made to

Para 1.20 Since the start of the charity, we have in
our plan to hold a 4 day festival every
July/August, this is the first year that we
have been able to host the Festival
following the COVID restrictions. It was a
very successful event on the Weston super
Mare sea Front Beach Lawns where we
had 8,738 visitors spread over the 4 days.
We were able to host different displays to
include, milking some cows, a calf parade,
calf feeding demonstration and clipping.
Each demonstration was busy with visitors
watching the stage area where the
livestock were and some of the events
were so popular that we are looking to
increase the number of demonstrations that
we have next year.

The Dairy Festival Independent Examiner’s Report to the Trustees For the Year Ended 31 December 2022

Independent examiners report to the Trustees of The Dairy Festival

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts for The Dairy Festival (“the charity”) for the year ended 31 December 2022.

Responsibilities and basis of report

As the charity trustees of the charity you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the 2011 Act”).

I report in respect of my examination of the charity’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the 2011 Act.

Independent examiner’s statement

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:

  1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the charity as required by section 130 of the 2011 Act; or

  2. the accounts do not comply with these records

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
