Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)

The charity provided services across several bus routes throughout the year, with the support and guidance of Belinda, our Transport Manager who oversaw management and bus inspections. We expanded our routes to include Grange over Sands, with our contractor, Blueworks delivering the service on our behalf. The Trustees considered the guidance issued by the Charities Commission at all stages and we confirm that all Trustees have read the guidance. Such guidance we reviewed at Trustees meetings to ensure we met the requirements and the spirit during our actions and decision making. Roger presented the accounts for 2023-2024 which were accepted. He thanked all the fundraisers and all the funding agencies. It is the aim every year to raise £55,000 to maintain our service.

Section D Achievements and performance

Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year

We continue to update our policies and procuredures which are reviewed regularly and monitored by our Chair of Trustees. We have continued to deliver our bus services in Ulverston Town Centre, Coniston to Barrow and Barrow to Coniston and remain the only service to stop at the Ulverston Health Centre/Hospital which is essential for residents without their own transport. Our new routes support other rural communities which have been left behind by commercial bus companies.
