Promoting and staging an annual LGBT+ festival with additional smaller events throughout the area of benefit with the support of the local LGBT+ business and volunteer community. Cultivating a sentiment in favour of equality and diversity in particular through celebrating the diversity of the LGBT+ community. Uniting the LGBT+ community, together with their families and friends, so they can feel safe, welcomed and proud to be themselves. Advancing education and raising general awareness among the public about the issues and challenges facing the lives of the LGBT+ community. |

Due to the ongoing pandemic, we were unable to hold our annual main event, but instead we held a sponsored walk with a post walk gathering for the community. Throughout the year we utilised social media to keep in contact with the community and to educate and inform the general public. |

Para 1.41 | Despite not being able to hold our annual event, our sponsored walk and social event brought much needed benefits to the local community during this difficult period. By providing a safe space for the community to meet after a period of lockdowns and restrictions, we have helped to improve the mental health of members of our community. Our ongoing work within the community has continued to raise the profile of LGBT+ people within our area and to further educate the wider public on the issues that our community experience, leading to a better overall environment. |
