Section C Objectives and activities

Summary of the objects of the
charity set out in its
governing document
Summary of the main
activities undertaken for the
public benefit in relation to
these objects (include within
this section the statutory
declaration that trustees have
had regard to the guidance
issued by the Charity
Commission on public
benefit)
The promotion of community participation in healthy recreation in all wards of
Stoke-on-Trent and the surrounding area by providing facilities for playing
Crown Green Bowling (facilities means land, buildings, equipment and
organising sporting activities).
As a consequence of the Coronavirus pandemic then unfortunately the
club in line with CGBA (Crown Green Bowling Association) decided to
cancel all competition matches.
The Club continued to provide access to the bowling facilitities during the
year but adhered to the guidelines on Coronavirus.
The Club continued to develop the facilities for the members and public at
large in respect of improving the club pavillilion, spectator standing,
pathways,etc
To ensure the safety and return of members to playing Bowls then we are
planning to install 4 extra spectator shelters which will help with social
distancing of all those attending matches.
Also we are planning to install in the portacabins hand sanitising
dispensers along with other sanitising equipment. These measures will
give confidence to people to use the club's facitities.
It is hoped that these improved facilities will be used and appreciated by
members for the 2021 season.

Additional details of objectives and activities (Optional information)

Contribution made by
volunteers.
As the income of the Club is low then to offset the expenditure faced then
the members are asked to contribute voluntary effort in whatever capacity
they can provide.

The Club has invested in improving the Spectator facilities by improving the viewing area and pathways.
