The Marching Band Association UK is a voluntary run organisation who teaches both adults and children of all ages the skill of playing a musical instrument and competing in competitions throughout the UK.
To advance the musical education of the public and in particular those who are members of marching bands by: a) helping to train in marching and the playing of marching band instruments; and b) holding concerts and exhibitions to promote high standards of musical ability.

Section D Achievements and performance
Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year
Our biggest achievement this season was the success of our main event championships held at Newton Aycliffe over August Bank Holiday which saw our bands from the North-East, Midlands and Wales attend. We have also had a successful holiday weekend for the organisation which is becoming a bigger event each year. This season saw our numbers double following the dissolution of another similar charity (UKFJB) and having had the bands affiliate via our charity (MBAUK).

| I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended31 / 12 / 2024. |
As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation of the Responsibilities and basis of accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the report Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:

accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act or

the accounts do not accord with the accounting records
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
