The purpose of the charity is to promote community participation in healthy recreation and provide a safe and happy environmenl in which children and adults can play football. The main aclivities undertaken in relation to those purposes are to plan football events and Iraining sessions. Both of these engaging activities following the foundation phase of learning to ensure every child is given the opportunity to explore and investigate through a wide range of activities whilst leaming through play. It is aL%o a priority io promote other charitable purposes that will be determined may from time to time and Ihe trustees are aware of the benefits to the community based on the guidance from the Charity Commission. AFC Ll dcoed Trustees Annual Re ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE The AFC Llwydcoed provides an important part in the community. it provides a safe environment for children and adults a to play football and encourages community involvement from participants. Works are being undertaken on a new football pitch, further details below, and there is a plan to work in partnership with ihe local school lo construct a Multi Use Games area {MUGAI in the grounds of the club site. FINANCIAL REVIEW During the year Lotto continued to be our main source of income although there was one generous donation of £7k. The Club made a small loss 2022123 and the club fwtball pitch was out of use from February 2024 due to work being undertaken on a new pitch in accordance wilh regulations in respect of pitch size. It is not anticipated the works being completed until the 2025126 football season and this may have a detrimental effect of the finances of the club for 2024 to 2026 until the work is complete. External funding has been secured from to finance the construction of the new pitch. STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMEiir AFC Llwydcoed is a regislered charTty. The registration number is 1183841 and was registered on 11 June 2019. The nature of the goveming document is constitution, the trustees are appointed during our annual AGM and the chartty is committee run and volunlary. The Trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records that disclose wilh reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity to enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Charities Act 2011 and AFC Llywdcoed's constitution. AFC Ll dcoed Independent Examinerfs Report I report to the Irustees on my examination of the accounts of the AFC Llwydcoed for the year ended 31" May 2023 As the charittys trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charitiès Act 2011 I'lhe Acf). I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under seclion 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145{5)(bl of the Act. I have completed my examination. I confimi that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect= the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 ol the Charities Act. or the accounts did nol accord with the accounting records" or the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities {Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a Irue and fair. view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examinalion. l. Basis of accounts The Trustees have taken advantage of section 144 (2) of the Charrties Act 2011 and prepared the accounts on a receipts and payments basis. 2.
