Trustees Annual Report OBJECTIVES AND ACTivrriES The purpose of the charity is lo promote community participation in healthy recreation and provide a safe and happy environment in which children and adults can play football. The main activities undertaken in relation to those purposes are to plan football events and training sessions. Both of these engaging activities following the foundation phase of learning to ensure every child is given the opportunity to explore and investigale Ihrough a wide range of aclivilies whilst leaming through play. It is also a priority to promote other charitable purposes that will be delermined may from time to time and the trustees are aware of the benefils to the Gommunity based on the guidance from the Charity Commission. AFC Ll dcoed Trustees Annual Re ort ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE The AFC Llwydcoed provides an important part in the community. It provides a safe environment for children and adults a to play football and encourages community involvement from participanls. FINANCIAL REVIEW 2020-21 was an unprecedenled year for all organisations. The Foolball Club was closed during COVID restrictions and the bar reopened for the end of November. During this period LOTTO was on hold which meanl that income generation was minimal. Fortunately. donalions continued to come in and COVID grants from the Local Aulhority, Sports Lot and FAW enabled the club lo continue operating and will help financial management in 2021-22 until restrictions are complelely lifted and the sporting and social side of Ihe charity can get back to full capacity. STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMETrrr AFC Llwydcoed is a registered charity. The registration number is 1183841 and was registered on 111h June 2019. The nature of the governing document is constitution. the trustees are appointed during our annual AGM and the charity is committee run and voluntary. The Trustees are responsibte for keeping proper accounting records that disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity to enable them to ensure that the financial statements Gomply with the Charities Act 2011 and AFC Llywdcoed's constitution. AFC Ll dcoed Independent Examinerfs Report I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the AFC Llwydcoed for the year ended 31 St May 2021 As the charity's truslees, you are reswnsible for the preparalion of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (Yhe Acr). I report in respect of my 8xamination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carying out my examination, I have lollowed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145151{b} of the Act. I have compleled my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe Ihal in, any material respecl: the accounling records were not kept in accordance wilh section 130 of the Charities Act,. or the accounts did not accord wrth the accounting records; or the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities {Accounls and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a 'true and fairf view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination. I have no concerns and have come across no olher matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order lo enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
