Para 1.20 Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic,
activities have been severely curtailed.
The Guard met to produce and maintain
equipment and take part in filming for
educational TV programmes. Displays
were given to the public at the British
Museum and Vindolanda on Hadrian’s
Wall. The Guard also took part in the
opening weekend of Chester House
Estate, a site adjacent to the Roman town
of Irchester. As Covid restrictions
permitted several work weekends took
place and individual members made and
maintained equipment at home.
Responses have been made to email
enquiries from interested members of the
public and students requesting
information. The website has been
maintained and updated as a resource for
wider society.

Para 1.21 Due to Covid 19 the number of displays
were limited in 2021. Monies received
primarily came from displays, filming,
subscriptions and a donation from the
original Guard charity that is being
closed down. Expenditure is being
carefully controlled until such time as
displays can fully restart. The assets of
the original Guard charity (800014) were
transferred to this charity on 1 October
2020.
