|---|---|---|
| Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole. |
Para 1.20 | The eight concerts outlined above show our commitment to providing high quality music performances for the enjoyment and educational enrichment of local audiences. We have been able to follow our normal pattern of concerts using St Barnabas’ Church for two concerts and Leighton Buzzard Library Theatre for the other six. Attendances at our concerts achieved an average of 83 per concert. To encourage music making by local young people we make an annual award to outstanding students attending the Leighton- Linslade Music Centre held every Saturday at Vandyke Upper School. The centre is run by Central Bedfordshire council’s music service “Inspiring Music”. This award will be made at the end of this Summer term. To encourage young people to attend classical music concerts, we offer_free_ tickets to all school students. The wide variety of music and composers, contemporary and diverse as well as classical, that we offer demonstrates our commitment to broadening the musical experience of our audience. |

Para 1.24 | Not applicable |
| Explanation of any uncertainties about the charity continuing as a going concern |
Para 1.23 | Speed of payment by the management of Leighton Buzzard Library Theatre is still unreliable.. The cost of hire was increased 33.3% last year and consequently we had to increase ticket prices. We are unaware of any forth coming increase and have not altered our ticket price for the coming season. Should the hire cost increase before the end of the season it will impact our financial postion.but have enough money to withstand a sharp increase in the short term and in the longer term would have the opportunity to find alternative venues. |
