Second Annual Chairman’s Report
For the year covering 1[st ] June 2020 to 30[th] May 2021
This year we have managed to increase our number of clients to one thousand and thirtyfive.
The number of trips for the car service this year was around seven thousand.
Our bus service was suspended this year and will restart as soon as restrictions are lifted.
These numbers would have been higher, but for the lockdowns.
Our service helped a significant number of people receive their Covid jabs by transporting them to the inoculation centres in the latter part of our reporting year. Exact numbers are unavailable due to data protection rules.
All this would not have been possible without our loyal Staff, Drivers and Office volunteers. Five Drivers continued to work throughout the lockdown.
The new booking system is working exceptionally well, giving us the capacity to handle more clients efficiently and reliably. All our office staff are now trained in using the new system.
The new accounting system has simplified our invoicing process.
None of this would be possible without the help of our funders
We received grants from the following
| PCC for Sussex | £500.00 |
|---|---|
| West Sussex County Council | £7,500.00 |
| ADC | £4,000.00 |
| Angmering PC | £500.00 |
| East Preston Parish Council | £350.00 |
| Kingston Parish Council | £50.00 |
| Littlehampton Town Council | £1,500.00 |
| Pagham Parish Council | £200.00 |
| Rustington Parish Council | £400.00 |
| Walberton Parish Council | £300.00 |
| Yapton Parish Council | £100.00 |
We are looking forward to our third year of being a registered charity, reaching more people who need our service.
At the end of our second year, we find ourselves in lockdown, looking forward to a return to more normal life and the opportunity to provide our vital service to our community. We have now established that there is a need for our service in our community.
