Para 1.17 and 1.19 |
During our fourth year being a registered charity. Our team continued to expand & develop activities & services within the community. We pushed forward with our Shop Assist welfare service with a project called “Help in the Community 2022” which included supporting Individuals, Families with Children and Elderly people. This project enabled us to provide food parcels to people who needed it most. During this period our shop assist service also supported between 5 – 25 individuals/families each week. This included providing food parcels, emergency energy vouchers, essential items including white goods and clothing. These were all supplied to people in need. We also provided our Safety Patrols within the community making support, food and drink available to people in need on the streets throughout the Wirral peninsular. We continued to provide these patrols routinely on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings. Our long-term aim is to extend these patrols to facilitate a 7-day cover. During this time, we also completed a project called “Emergency Care in the Community” this is where we were able to provide funded training to young, disadvantaged people between 16 and 25 years of age, by providing this training this enabled them to get on to the pathway to employment. Throughout 2022 / 2023 our team expanded our Medical Cover / First Aid capabilities. We provided medical cover across various parts of the UK during most of the event seasons. |

Para 1.20 |
It has been another successful year for Rapid Response North West. We remained busy with the number of public events we attended, providing Awareness, Medical Cover and Water Rescue. As we continue our “Shop Assist Welfare Service” this also kept us busy which had a big impact on the community. This supported individuals, families with children, the elderly, people who were homeless, people suffering with mental health, people in financial distress and people who had specialist dietary requirements. Whilst providing street safety patrols we were able to support & signpost people who were in need whether this was with direct intervention or involving other agencies. During this period, we were able to provide First Aid training to members of the public. Enabling them to gain knowledge with the aim of them gaining employment. |

Financial Review
| Review of the charity’s financial position at the end of the period |
Para 1.21 | During the period of 2022 – 2023 we had another successful year with funding. We managed to increase our self-generated income with thanks to the medical cover and various activities that our team undertook. We also received an increased amount of public donations than the previous year. We would like to say thank you to Wirral Borough Council for the grant funding received during the period of 2022 – 2023. This funding enabled us to expand the “Shop Assist Welfare Service”. We would also like to say thank you to Community Foundation for Merseyside for the grant funding received. This enabled us to provide funded training to members of the public. With all funding received we were able to pay for charity insurance, volunteer expenses, vehicle maintenance costs, safety equipment & personal protective equipment, medical equipment & supplies. This has also enabled us to continue to provide training to our volunteers and has allowed us to provide training to people in the community. |
