Our team continued to expand &<br>develop activities & services within the<br>community.<br>We pushed forward with our Shop Assist<br>welfare service with a project called “Help in<br>the Community 2022” which included<br>supporting Individuals, Families with<br>Children and Elderly people. This project<br>enabled us to provide food parcels to<br>people who needed it most.<br>During this period our shop assist service<br>also supported between 5 – 25<br>individuals/families each week. This<br>included providing food parcels, emergency<br>energy vouchers, essential items including<br>white goods and clothing. These were all<br>supplied to people in need.<br>We also provided our Safety Patrols within<br>the community making support, food and<br>drink available to people in need on the<br>streets throughout the Wirral peninsular.<br>We continued to provide these patrols<br>routinely on Friday, Saturday, and<br>Sunday evenings. Our long-term aim is to<br>extend these patrols to facilitate a 7-day<br>cover.<br>During this time, we also completed a<br>project called “Emergency Care in the<br>Community” this is where we were able to<br>provide funded training to young,<br>disadvantaged people between 16 and 25<br>years of age, by providing this training this<br>enabled them to get on to the pathway to<br>employment.<br>Throughout 2022 / 2023 our team<br>expanded our Medical Cover / First Aid<br>capabilities. We provided medical cover<br>across various parts of the UK during most<br>of the event seasons.|

We remained<br>busy with the number of public events we<br>attended, providing Awareness, Medical<br>Cover and Water Rescue.<br>As we continue our “Shop Assist Welfare<br>Service” this also kept us busy which had a<br>big impact on the community. This<br>supported individuals, families with children,<br>the elderly, people who were homeless,<br>people suffering with mental health, people<br>in financial distress and people who had<br>specialist dietary requirements.<br>Whilst providing street safety patrols we<br>were able to support & signpost people who<br>were in need whether this was with direct<br>intervention or involving other agencies.<br>During this period, we were able to provide<br>First Aid training to members of the public.<br>Enabling them to gain knowledge with the<br>aim of them gaining employment.|

## **Financial Review** 



|Review of the charity’s<br>financial position at the end<br>of the period|Para 1.21|During the period of 2022 – 2023 we had<br>another successful year with funding. We<br>managed to increase our self-generated<br>income with thanks to the medical cover<br>and various activities that our team<br>undertook.<br>We also received an increased amount of<br>public donations than the previous year.<br>We would like to say thank you to Wirral<br>Borough Council for the grant funding<br>received during the period of 2022 – 2023.<br>This funding enabled us to expand the<br>“Shop Assist Welfare Service”.<br>We would also like to say thank you to<br>Community Foundation for Merseyside for<br>the grant funding received. This enabled us<br>to provide funded training to members of<br>the public.<br>With all funding received we were able to<br>pay for charity insurance, volunteer<br>expenses, vehicle maintenance costs,<br>safety equipment & personal protective<br>equipment, medical equipment & supplies.<br>This has also enabled us to continue to<br>provide training to our volunteers and has<br>allowed us to provide training to people in<br>the community.|

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 17/05/2023. 

- **Responsibilities and** As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation **basis of report** of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). 

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
