Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity’s work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.
Para 1.20 During the year ended 31stAug 2021, the
charity raised £29,256 to support the Greig City
Academy (GCA) Sailing Programme. Grants
totalling £24,874 were made to the GCA Sailing
Programme. The small surplus was carried
forward to the next financial year, for use in
pursuit of the charity’s objectives.
The GCA Sailing Programme provided
exceptional opportunities for state school
students from inner city London to develop
confidence and skills through sailing events.
The programme was impacted by Covid, but
continued a wide range of activities during the
year.
During the year, three new trustees were
appointed who brought specific skills and
experience to strengthen the charity. We expect
to increase our activities in the year ahead, and
raise additional funds for the GCA Sailing
Programme while also starting to build a more
sustainable foundation for our work.
