These meeting now include a range of organisations that help those who support the homeles5. FOOD POVERTY The CIPF has also providing advice and support to a number of indwidual FoodbaAks and other projerts involved in helping those sufferlng wlth a lack of food. throughout Comwall. Foodbank usa8e has increased by over 5(YA in the past year. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT The CIPF have provided communty development support to the followlng or8anisations.' PARTNERSHIP WORKING The CIPF have entered into a number of partnetships with o￿an15?tk>ns hefping people move into wo rk. Also, In terms of the homelèssness wo￿, a partnership has been established wlth Cornwall Housing and also with Truro Cathedral, Transformation Comwall and the Diocese of Truro. COMMUNITYWEALTH FUND Gavln from CIPFhas been worklng on a Community Vkalth Fund, an approath that would enable money generated in Cornwall to ￿maIn in Cornwall to benefrt local communities. REAL LIVING WAGE FORCORNWALL Simon from Truro Foodbank is akn l(M)ktng at the causes of poverty and the ￿aSOnS why people are visiting Foodbanks and to Introdu￿ the idea of the Real LNing Wage for Comwall. One significant reason is that many people in work are being paid the National LNin8 Wage and th￿ ￿ inadequate to cover housing and food costs. Simon is looking to campaign for the Real Living Wage to be intrOdU￿d in Cornwall and is working WTth the Living Wage Foundation and forming a Real ￿VIng Wage Att￿n Group to enable this to happen. The CIPF are supporting this work3nd has been involved in providing Lwed Exper*n¢es to also raise awareness of need for a real INing wage. ThE BIG ISSUE. Challenge Poverty Week was organised by Church ALxion on Poverty and our Invofvement abo enables for Cornwall to be involved in the nat•)nal debate. slxty projects and organisations partKipated In the week. HOUSING AND HOMELESSNESS Those that flnd theMSe￿e5 homeless are now over 2LKtI people, induding nearty l(Kx) families) in Comwall. The CIPF completed a Housing Survey undertaken by Comwall Council around the issues of Housing and Homelessness, in an atternpt to influence the latest Housln8 Strategy. Cornwall Council and Cornwall Housin8 have continued to provide the'Pods' lin Penzance, Camborne andTrurol forsln8le people whoare streethomeless. Families are placed In B and B accommodation, including in budget hotels, although no food provision is provided and loeatlon5 can be inconvenient for schools and work. Our message to the Cornwall Councll and our national government is that we need to build affordable houses at ￿alistIC rents. CIPF'SCOMMUNITY MANIFESTO M4 Following on from our 2020 Report, A Fair and Just Future for Cornwall and our 2021 Report, A Communlty Manrfesto for Cornwall. the CIPF decided that due to the 2024 General Election, a Community Manrfesto for 2024 will be Pfepared to P￿Sent a number of Community Projects that are needed in Cornwall. to our newly elected Members of Parliament and other key people. WE8SITE AND SOCIAL MEDIA There has been further development of the CIPF'S website, in¢ludin8 establishing links to various social media platformsand otherorganisations. A newwebsite has been developed showing all of our recent projects, as well as projectsthatwe support, aiming to informand raise awarene550f those peopk in Cornwall, who are sufferin8 from poverty and a￿ dealing with the cost of INin8 crsis.
