Chairman
Hello everyone, Welcome to our 2025 AGM meeting.
Matters arising from minutes.
Chairman’s Report
We had three fundraising events this year.
The Summer Soiree in July, this wasn’t attended very well again, but it was a fun evening.
Next was Bonfire Night, which was very successful, dry evening and lots of people. A very enjoyable evening.
Lastly the Bachelor’s and Belle’s Christmas party in the new year. Numbers were down abit but with the rise of the ticket price we still made plenty of profit for the hall. It was great fun with beautiful food, plenty of alcohol and great company. I would like to say a thank you to all that were involved in making these events happen.
Bookings for the hall seem to be okay, we need about £6’000.00 a year for running costs.
We do need more committee members, but it is hard to recruit people. Village Hall Maintenance
Work that has been done this year include
lady’s toilet drains have been modified and all other drains inspected. They all seem to be working fine thanks to Anthony. Gardening evenings helped keep around the hall tidy.
Signage to stop lorries coming into the car park have been put up, not sure how well this is working.
A few thank you’s
Thank you to the Parish Council for their help they have given us through the year.
Thank you to Sharon the village hall cleaner.
I would like to say thank you to you all for your support and help over the last year as without you none of this would be possible especially Lisa, Peter, in their official roles, Caroline as booking Clark and Ann for running the tote. Finaly as you all know Lisa is retiring as secretary as of tonight so, on behalf of all of us here thank you for your time over the years keeping things shipshape at the village hall, we do apricate everything you have done. Paul gave me some flowers and a bottle of wine. I was very touched and said thank you to everyone.
